Royal London Asset Management appoints new head of sales

Royal London Asset Management has promoted Phil Reid to the newly-created role of head of sales.

Reid will oversee both wholesale and institutional sales in this role, helping to drive the company’s sales, strategy and delivery in both the UK and overseas.

He will report into RLAM’s chief client officer Ed Venner. Reid joined Royal London Asset Management in 2016 as head of wholesale, having previously spent a decade at HSBC Global Asset Management, and has over 20 years of industry experience.

Venner says this appointment should help accelerate the company’s growth in the years ahead. “We are ambitious to build on our successes, looking at continued growth in both wholesale and institutional channels, in the UK and internationally,” he adds.

Reid says: “RLAM is one of the top-selling active managers in the UK, and I will be working closely with our clients and partners to deliver tailored investment solutions that meet their evolving needs.”
