Royal Mail and Selfridges mocked for new fashion collaboration

Royal Mail’s clothing collaboration with Selfridges is being mocked by postal workers reports The Independent.

A new fashion collection has been released by Selfridges which sees items made from recycled Royal Mail sacks.

The products on sale include jackets, bags, hoodies, t-shirts, mugs and more – however not everyone is a fan of the new collection, especially one particular item.

The coats that are on sale have been designed by Studio Alch and are created out of old Royal Mail post bags. They come in a two-tone red and green version as well as a black style and cost £445.

But after Selfridges announced the new collection on social media, shoppers were quick to mock the products.

One person wrote: “Seriously? Who would wear this?”

While another social media user went on to say: “Ffs I’ve seen it all now.”

Some went even further, offering to flog their own old Royal Mail workwear: “If anyone’s interested, I can sell you my tatty old Royal Mail work boots to go with it for £1,500 lmao.”

While another added: “Need to take a few bags home and get a sewing machine.”
