The postal service explained that on Wednesday April 5, deliveries are “operating as normal” across the country, and that Royal Mail “aims to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week”.
However, due to local issues including sickness absences and resourcing, this may “temporarily not be possible”.
To mitigate this, Royal Mail pledged to rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.
The postal service will also provide targeted support to affected offices to address these challenges.
Again, Royal Mail apologised for any inconvenience caused to customers, and released an updated list of offices “most impacted”.
