Royal Mail: Bizarre mishap gets letter 9,000 miles wrong

ROYAL Mail, like many, have faced a challenging start to 2021 as Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc in our lives.

But one Manningtree resident was certainly left bemused as he played host to a bizarre postal mishap in the town.

This letter is a little far from its intended destination

Simon Barrott received a letter some 9,000 miles from its intended destination in Western Australia.

He said: “Someone has paid £2.55 for the privilege. The only thing similar about the address is the number 15!

“Having had two items go missing to Scotland & Sweden, we’re not that surprised.”
