Royal Mail celebrate classic video games with first stamp collection of 2020 > Creative Review > Style

Royal Mail have unveiled some stamps, celebrating some classic British video games. WipEout, Sensible Soccer, Tomb Raider and Lemmings are some of the video games being honoured.

The British video games industry is one that gets a little less recognition than the US and Japanese side of things, the Royal Mail are putting their stamp on things to change that, literally…. the full list of games featured included are Elite, Dizzy, Populous, Lemmings, Micro Machines, Sensible Soccer, WipEout, Worms, and Tomb Raider.

The first 8 games are featured on regular stamps, but there are four Tomb Raider stamps to be found on a ‘Miniature Sheet’.

These retro, special stamps were designed in collaboration with Supple Studio and Bitmap Books, and featured UK journalist Julian ‘Jaz’ Rignall as the consultant.

It’s a fantastic line-up of collectable stamps that retail at £14.25. The stamps are available online from 21 January.
