Royal Mail Christmas talking postboxes return

Lat year Royal Mail’s “singing” postboxes played Christmas jingles when cards and letters were posted.

This holiday season Royal Mail will be bringing back its Christmas talking postboxes.

Similar to when the scheme was launched last year, four postboxes have been decorated across the UK and filled with elves ready to respond once a letter or card is posted.

The four boxes can be found in London’s Greenwich, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast, and will be in place for the entire festive season.

London: Greenwich Promenade, King William Walk, London, SE10 9HT.

Cardiff: 29 Queen Street, Cardiff, CF10 2AH.

Belfast: 4 Wellington Place, Belfast, BT1 6GE.

Edinburgh: 137-141 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1SG.

“At Royal Mail, we play a key role in delivering Christmas across the UK,” Royal Mail head of campaigns Mark Street said.

“While doing so, we always enjoy adding a little extra festive fun to sending Christmas post.”
