Royal Mail delivery delays Glasgow G15 G52 G53 February 2026

The postal operator has updated its service alerts to confirm that the Glasgow G15 delivery office is now experiencing disruption, in addition to the previously flagged G52 and G53 areas.

We previously reported on delays impacting G52 and G53, but the latest update shows that the G15 postcode ,covering parts of north-west Glasgow, has also been added to the list.

Royal Mail, which aims to deliver to all addresses six days a week, said a small number of local offices are currently unable to maintain normal service due to operational issues.

Across the UK, 38 delivery offices have reported problems, affecting 105 postcodes.

The disruption follows processing and dispatch issues at the company’s Nottingham Mail Centre. While air and road services operated to schedule over the weekend, knock-on effects have resulted in delays to some items.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for six days a week. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing or other local factors.

“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers. We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

Customers in G15, G52 and G53 are advised to check Royal Mail’s website for the latest updates on service in their area.
