Royal Mail’s delivery and sorting office off Back Lane in Marlborough is currently listed for sale at £625,000 on property website Rightmove.
It looks unlikely that the sale would result in Royal Mail leaving the site in the short term, as the building is let entirely to them on a 10-year lease that does not end until March 2028.
Royal Mail was contacted for comment but did not respond.
Its website says the delivery and sorting office remains open as usual.
The property has been described by estate agent Graham Sibbald as an “investment opportunity”, with any new buyer positioned to receive an annual rent of £37,780 from Royal Mail.
A listing added: “The property was built for Royal Mail as their delivery and sorting office.
