The key elements of the agreement are as follows:
Technicians will move to 37 hours net working week.
7.15% pay rise backdated to 1st April 2023 – flowing through to all allowances.
The combination of the pay and hours uplift will increase basic pay by £85.72 per week.
A minimum of £2466 backpay (pro-rata)
1 in 4 Saturdays will be rostered with the opportunity to have innovative duty patterns and a swap system introduced. There will be a £50 supplement paid for any individual who works a rostered Saturday.
A further 2% will be paid following the Saturday roster revisions. This will flow through to allowances, overtime and scheduled attendance.
At this juncture basic pay will be £673.69.
£500 lump sum pro rata to part-time employees payable, subject to the ratification of the agreement.
Monday to Saturday overtime multiplier 1.4.
We have achieved a commitment to bring back work which has been outsourced on LGV.

For members seeking family friendly working, caring responsibilities, maybe retiring soon or another legitimate reason – there will be an option to apply to remain on 34.5 hours
6% pay increase for those remaining on 34.5 hours with this becoming a reserved rights grade.

The terms of this agreement have been unanimously endorsed by the CWU Postal Executive. Arrangements are now being put in place for a series of membership briefings ahead of a full ballot.
