Royal Mail is hiring 2020 Christmas staff in Kent and here’s how much they’re paying

With Christmas under 100 days away, many of us are desperate to feel a bit of festive cheer.

This year hasn’t quite gone to plan, and with the big day looming, we’re all hoping for a bit of excitement.

And what better way to be a part of it all than sorting through hoards of Christmas mail, or delivering it to people’s doors.

Royal Mail is looking to hire a round of temporary staff to see it through the busy period.

After many months of being stuck at home, children are finally back learning in the classroom.

Although the school return will have come as a welcome relief for many parents, it has clearly not been without its problems.

We at KentLive now want to hear from you about your experiences of the school restart and how your children are coping.

Press here to take our brief survey, so we can get a better understanding of the challenges parents and pupils are facing here in Kent.

There are a host of jobs available across different locations in Kent.

If you want to earn a bit of extra cash, or you’ve recently lost your job, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Likening the jobs to that of Mr and Mrs Claus, the Royal Mail said: “Just like Mr and Mrs Claus, you will help to deliver Christmas to everybody in the UK.

“Flexible and adaptable at all times, you will be doing a very important job.

“You’ll be helping us unload mail and parcels from our vans, moving them around our warehouses and then sorting them so they arrive at their destination safely – sometimes sorting over a million items in a single shift with your team.”

We’ve rounded up all the roles, the pay, the benefits and the hours below.
