Royal Mail issues major alert to parents over letters to Santa this Christmas

Royal Mail has announced the return of its popular Santa Mail service with a December 10th deadline for children to send letters and receive a free reply from Father Christmas

Youngsters across the region are counting down the days until Father Christmas arrives, with hopes pinned on receiving the presents they’ve been dreaming of. Yet the bearded gift-giver cannot deliver on these dreams unless he’s aware of what they are.

That’s precisely why countless youngsters pen their yearly correspondence to Santa, particularly as today (December 4) marks Santa’s List Day. Children scribble down their requests and eagerly await confirmation from Father Christmas himself that their wishes have been registered.

However, with the festive period fast approaching, it’s crucial parents don’t overlook the cut-off date for posting these letters to Santa. Last month, Royal Mail confirmed via its Facebook page that Santa Mail has returned, disclosing the final date by which correspondence must be dispatched.

A Royal Mail worker, sporting a Santa hat whilst clutching a letter, declared: “Christmas is coming, and you know what that means! Santa Mail is back!”.

That said, there’s no requirement to include an additional stamp for Santa’s response.

For those needing a braille or British Sign Language version, further details are available on the dedicated Santa Mail section of the Royal Mail’s website. The possibility of getting a letter from Santa has stirred up quite the buzz, with the post racking up hundreds of likes and comments.

Numerous individuals have been tagging their nearest and dearest to make certain they don’t miss out on receiving a letter from Santa.

So don’t dawdle, post your letter to Santa today to prevent any letdown!

In addition to penning letters to Father Christmas today, Santa’s List Day is also allegedly when Santa finalises his list of who’s been naughty or nice.
