Royal Mail is recruiting temporary workers for its busiest time of year – Christmas.
Once again this year, postal staff will work tirelessly, sorting mountains of parcels and letters in warehouse centres and driving red vans around the country.
You can apply to work as a seasonal mail sorter or a delivery/multi-drop driver and play a vital role in helping Royal Mail deliver Christmas on time.

We had a look for positions in Cambridgeshire, and this is what we found.
Seasonal Mail Sorters
Of the 21 currently open positions for seasonal mail sorters, there is one in Cambridgeshire – at Peterborough Mail Centre.
The job pays £11.40 p/h (days) to £13.70 p/h (nights).
The listing says that one shift pattern is available, Nights: Monday to Friday, 22:30 – 06:00.
Responsibilities of the role include unloading mail and parcels from vans, moving them through the warehouses and ensuring that they arrive at their destination safely.
No previous experience in warehouse or sorting work is required, although it’d be a plus.
What you’ll need is the ability to push trolleys (up to 250kgs) and lift and move mail bags (up to 11kg), as well as to be able to comfortably stand for long periods – during a single shift, you could sort over a million items with your team!

Delivery/multi-drop drivers
In addition to Seasonal Mail Sorters roles, Royal Mail say they have a number of delivery/multi-drop driver opportunities.
Pay is as follows:
Monday – Friday (flexible shifts): £11.87 to £14.70 per hour
Dedicated Sunday delivery: £148 for an 8 hour shift (£18.58 per hour)
