Royal Mail late delivery ‘ultimately cost us money’

I MUST support the comments of Councillor (Martin) Allen and MP (Harriett) Baldwin in that postal services have declined recently and that post is being delivered in batches, some of which is arriving too late to take any action on the subject matter.

We have had to cancel a subscription to a weekly magazine due to continued late delivery which ultimately cost us money.

We live in Severn Stoke.

The comments you report that Royal Mail will write to the MP to address the concerns is not enough and to insist that “the vast majority of mail is being delivered on time” is simply not true.

Platitudes are not enough.

Was the pledge to maintain the obligation to deliver first-class mail a legal obligation or merely a vague statement of intent?

Cllr Allen was correct to suggest that Royal Mail should just ‘fess up’ to the current state of affairs, take action and publicly state what that action is and when it will be implemented.
