Royal Mail offering Parcel Collect free until end of May

Royal Mail is to offer its doorstep collection Parcel Collect for free until the end of May. The service was launched last October and cost an extra 72p per parcel or 60p per pre-paid return in addition to the cost of postage.

Royal Mail will collect up to five parcels a day for free from customers homes while postmen or postwomen are on their usual rounds. The customer then receives an email notification that acts as proof of postage.

Over one million parcels have been collected through the Parcel Collect service since its launch.
