Royal Mail postman saves the day at house fire in Redmarley

A HERO postman saved the day at a house fire this morning (Monday).

The quick-thinking Royal Mail postman managed to put out the flames before firefighters arrived at the home in Redmarley.

Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service was called to Durbridge Road at just before 10am.

The sent fire crews from Malvern and Ledbury to the house fire which involved a range cooker.

However, when they arrived they found they were not needed.

The quick actions of the postman meant the fire was extinguished by the time the fire service arrived.

Firefighters carried out a home fire safety check before leaving the property..
