A POSTMAN’S joke has gone viral on social media – after he warned Brits living at house number 8 may never get their post for one very strange reason.
Ben Davis, who works for Royal Mail, says there’s a simple mistake lots of people make that could stop them getting deliveries altogether.

He posted a video about the issue on TikTok, where it’s been watched more than 350,000 times.
In the clip, he said: “As a postman, the worst thing I ever see is when number eight have nailed on their number to the door upside down.
“They think number eight is the same whichever way – but no!
“You need to have the bigger loop underneath.

“Otherwise, it undermines the structural integrity of the eight, and it’s liable to topple and become an infinity symbol.”
With a deadpan delivery, he added: “If you live at number infinity Smith Road, you are never getting any post – thank you very much.”
Some of the 41,000 people who have liked the video commented underneath Ben’s post.
One said: “There’s a house round the corner from me who’s used a nine as a six and it enrages me.”
A second commented: “I ordered a 90 and they send me 06.
“Straight in the bin, what the heck.”
And a third made the very good point that “Buzz Lightyear delivers to infinity and beyond.”
One TikTok user joked the numbers on her front door are ruining her marriage.

“My husband recently put a new number six on our door and it’s slightly wonky,” she said.
“It’s slowly becoming a reason for divorce.”
