A group of Oxfordshire Royal Mail postwomen are running through mud and dyeing their hair pink.
BREAST Friends 4eva features Tina Talbott, Lauren Kershaw, Ella Hedgecox, Mirela Scotti, Sar Cousins, Claire Kain, Helen Jones, Angela Holpin, Theresa Gregor and Clare Walker.
The Bicester-based group was set up by Tina after Clare was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2022 leading to her being off from work for half a year.
Clare had an operation in January 2023, three weeks of daily radiotherapy, and a phased return to work in June of last year.
The postwomen are running The Pretty Muddy 5k on Saturday in Milton Keynes to raise money for Cancer Research.

“When Clare came back to work I asked if she would mind if we did the Pretty Muddy 5k for her,” said Tina.
“Then I had to get permission for us to have a Saturday off work and Clare will be part of the run.
“So far we have raised £4,000 which has smashed the £500 we thought we’d raise.

“The CWU gave an incredible £1,000 and our family, friends and colleagues have been so supportive both financially and emotionally.”
Some of the group are even dyeing their hair pink specially for the occasion with Sar Cousins aiming to change her appearance.
“A lot of love and support has gone into this group, we’ve got matching shirts and I’ll be dyeing my hair pink for the occasion,” she said.
