Postal deliveries have been reinstated at a flats complex – after a mix-up left residents without their mail.
Deliveries had continued at Reginald Mitchell Court, in Hanley, throughout the coronavirus pandemic with post left in the building’s reception.
But that unexpectedly changed earlier this week to trigger complaints from residents.
Now Royal Mail says normal deliveries have resumed. Reginald Mitchell Court, on Stubbs Lane, has 118 flats for the over-55s.
A Royal Mail spokesman said: “Royal Mail takes the health and safety of its colleagues, customers and the local communities in which we operate very seriously.
“There was an agreement in place to deliver mail safely to Reginald Mitchell Court via the building’s reception. This agreement was terminated on Wednesday without our knowledge.
“We have now resumed normal deliveries to each address.”
