The postal service explained the delays have been caused by resourcing issues in the affected areas.
However, they are working to ensure few people in those postcodes will actually be impacted and many are still expected to receive post at least every other day.
“Due to resourcing issues, associated self-isolation and safety measures, deliveries in the following areas are likely to be disrupted this week,” Royal Mail continued.
“In those areas that are temporarily affected by very high levels of absence, customers can expect deliveries at least every other day.
