At The Scottish Farmer, we would like to inform readers that over the next few weeks, including this weekend, there may be disruption to our subscription copy delivery due to strike action by the Royal Mail.
We would like to apologise in advance for an outcome that is not of our making. We had the option to move our ‘press’ days so that we could meet mail delivery times, but there was no assurance that this would have been effective and we felt it would impinge too much on our ability to effectively deliver Scotland’s top farming news inventory.
We would urge readers to bear with us and we will ensure that our regular local newsagents are well stocked with The Scottish Farmer and hopefully Royal Mail will return to normal soon. Also, all subscription copy customers will be given free access to our on-line edition of the paper so that they do not lose our on their weekly favourite farming read.
Please be aware that other strikes by Royal Mail are planned and we will endeavour to keep our readers informed as and when they might affect deliveries.
