Royal Mail strikes called off

PLANNED strikes by Royal Mail workers in Inverclyde have been called off.

Postal workers across the country have been taking industrial action for weeks in a row about pay, working conditions and potential job losses.

However, the Communication and Workers Union (CWU) has called off strike action for the next fortnight following a letter from Royal Mail’s legal team.

Strikes are expected to commence again from November 12.
