Royal Mail van’s wheels stolen in bizarre West Park incident

Royal Mail has confirmed an investigation is underway after the theft of two wheels from one of its delivery vans.

A member of the public spotted the wheel-less vehicle on Wednesday morning in the West Park car park, near to the Peter Goord Travel agents, off Crownhill Road.

At about 7.15am Mark Mitchell stumbled across the van, near to the West Park Delivery Office.

Pictures show the brakes exposed where the wheels have been taken, and a hub cap under the vehicle.

Royal Mail is urging anyone who may have information to contact the police.

A Royal Mail Spokesperson said: “Royal Mail and the police are investigating the circumstances around the theft of two wheels from one of our vehicles.

“We would urge anyone with information to contact the police.”
