Royal Mail warns 146 UK postcodes affected by delivery disruption — full list

Royal Mail has issued a warning to anyone living in certain postcodes as deliveries may not arrive on time due to high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors

Royal Mail has issued an alert to residents in specific postcodes warning that letters and parcels are facing delays. The delivery firm typically aims to reach all addresses six days per week.

Nevertheless, the company has acknowledged that certain regions across the UK are experiencing difficulties maintaining this schedule due to factors including “high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors”.

Royal Mail explained: “In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.”

The postal service further stated: “We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.”

Apologising for the disruption, it added: “We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

The company updates its list of impacted postcodes on their website each day, reports the Express.

At present, 146 postcodes nationwide are experiencing disruption, spanning locations such as Dundee, Hull, Penarth, Shrewsbury and Glasgow.

Beyond these specific delays, Royal Mail confirms its air and road transport networks continue running on schedule.

The organisation also reports that all correspondence was processed and dispatched as planned at sorting centres during the previous 24-hour period.

At present, 55 depots are affected by delays, which is having a knock-on impact on postcodes in the local area.
