Christmas is just a matter of days away, and the Royal Mail is experiencing delays. The postal service is endeavouring to do its best and get parcels delivered on time but they have updated customers on the areas which are currently affected.
In terms of air, rail and road, Royal Mail’s networks operated to schedule over the weekend.
However, the mail centres reported some issues.
Not all mail was processed or despatched to schedule over the past 24 hours in certain mail centres.
As a result, they may be delivered slightly later than expected.

Birmingham Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday in the B, HR and WR postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
Chelmsford Mail Centre: Some mail posted from across the UK on Monday, due for delivery today to addresses in the CM, CO, IP and SS postcode areas. Also, some mail posted on Monday in these postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

Gatwick Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday in the BN and RH postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
Manchester Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday in the BL, M, OL and SK postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.
Nottingham Mail Centre: Some mail posted on Monday in the DE and NG postcode areas, due for delivery today to addresses across the rest of the UK.

As for deliveries over New Year, Ofcom has granted an exception to the universal service throughout the United Kingdom for Saturday January 1, 2022.
Normal deliveries and collections resume on January 4, 2022, except for Scotland due to a Public Holiday.
