Royal Mail warns Scottish postcodes won’t receive mail on time — full list

Royal Mail has warned 44 UK postcodes won’t receive mail on time, with 18 delivery offices experiencing delays across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Royal Mail has issued a warning to residents in specific Scottish postcodes that their mail will face delays. The postal service typically aims to deliver letters and parcels six days a week.

However, the company has confirmed disruptions across its network affecting particular regions. Royal Mail stated: “We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for, six days a week.

“In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.

“In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.

“We also provide targeted support to those offices to address their challenges and restore our service to the high standard our customers would normally receive.

“We’re sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.”

The company provides daily updates to customers regarding potential postal delays. As of Tuesday, February 24, 18 Royal Mail delivery offices are experiencing disruptions, reports the Mirror.

The affected sites span the entire UK, including Cardiff, Pontefract, Lochgelly and Lisburn.

Problems at these delivery offices mean 44 UK postcodes are currently facing postal delays. In Scotland, postcodes in Brechin and Lochgelly are affected, as well as mail across Glasgow.

Whilst the air network has operated according to schedule over the past 24 hours, the road network has encountered some difficulties. Royal Mail said: “Last night, a vehicle was late departing the Midlands Parcel Hub for Preston and Glasgow Mail Centres.

“As a result, some mail due for delivery in the BB, FY, LA, PR, G, KA, ML and PA postcode areas may arrive later than planned.”

Bristol Mail Centre saw some mail posted in parts of the BA, BS, GL and TA postcode areas, due for delivery across other parts of the UK.
