Paul Kennedy started as a “telegram boy” for the Royal Mail in July 1974. He was hoping to make it to his 50th anniversary at the business, but he’s not sure he can last two more years. “I’ve got a lot of affection for the company, but I’ve never seen them behave like this,” said Kennedy, who is now a Royal Mail divisional representative for the Communication Workers’ Union. “My original plan was to get to 50 years and say, that’s a nice time to go.
