Royal Medical Services Strengthen Partnership with UK’s Royal Marsden Hospital in Cancer Care | THE DAILY TRIBUNE



Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services, received a delegation from the UK’s Royal Marsden Hospital at the Bahrain Oncology Centre, led by Professor Chris Nutting, Consultant Clinical Oncologist and Director of Medical Affairs for Private Care, and attended by Dr. Edward Rowland, CEO of the Bahrain Oncology Centre.

The meeting focused on strengthening medical cooperation between Bahrain and the UK in cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as exchanging expertise in diagnosis, surgery, and post-treatment care.

Brigadier Dr. Shaikh Fahad highlighted Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare through international partnerships and medical training, while Dr. Rowland emphasized the visit’s role in enhancing research collaboration and improving patient care.

Professor Nutting praised Bahrain’s advanced medical services and reaffirmed the Royal Marsden’s commitment to expanding regional cooperation.

The visit included seminars on oncology, discussions of complex cases, and tours of the Military Hospital, Bahrain Oncology Centre, and Crown Prince Center for Training and Medical Research. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and advancing healthcare excellence in Bahrain.
