Royal Oak post office observes 20-year anniversary of shootings

Clark French of Sterling Heights was standing at his sorting station at the U.S. Post Office in Royal Oak when shots rang out Nov. 14, 1991. Clark, 56, was wounded in the back as he ran from fired letter carrier Thomas McIlvane, who shot eight people — killing four — before turning the gun on himself that day.
