The company has now joined 500 others in backing the Daily Mail’s campaign to scrap the tourist tax and reinstate VAT-free shopping for visitors.
Mitchell, 59, said this would help boost retailers’ profits after they were whacked by more tax hikes, including higher wages and National Insurance contributions.
