Oops: Michelle Visage suffered a hilarious yet awkward blunder during the debut episode after she praised The Vivienne on her ‘fake nose’ before realising it was in fact all her real face (L-R)
For The Vivienne’s Her Royal Highness look, she opted to go for the Queen hunting at Balmoral Castle as she donned a plaid skirt, tartan cape, head scarf and wellies.
Yet despite using clever make-up techniques to transform into HRH, Michelle was left gobsmacked over the look and presumed The Vivienne had used a prosthesis on her nose.
The Strictly Come Dancing contestant said: ‘Your Queen look was fantastic, you’ve got prosthesis…’
With an amused The Vivienne, from Liverpool, responding with: ‘I haven’t! This is my face, trust me.’

Shocked: Yet despite using clever make-up techniques to transform into HRH, Michelle was left gobsmacked over the look and presumed The Vivienne had used a prosthesis on her nose
Yet Michelle only made matters worse for herself when she added: ‘Stop it! That’s your nose? I don’t mean it rudely.
‘So what you have is this full face of make-up on, with highlighter and there’s lighter contour but there’s no darker contour so I don’t ever see it like that. You’ve literally changed your entire face coming out like that.’
To which head judge and show creator, RuPaul, joked: ‘Michelle, that’s her nose!’ with the star quipping: ‘Apparently!’
Yet despite the prosthesis mix-up, The Vivienne was crowned the winner of that week’s episode and was awarded the first ever Ru Peter badge.

What does it mean to be in the competition?: ‘I decided to apply to make s**t tonnes of money! No, I decided to apply because there is no bigger platform for a drag queen than RuPaul’s Drag Race.
‘This is the Olympics of drag and I wanted to see where on the race track I’d finish.’
Belfast beauty: Blu Hydrangea
Name: Blu Hydrangea
Age: 23

What does it mean to be in the competition?: ‘I absolutely eat breathe and sleep being a drag queen. It’s my way of being expressive and creative. I’m so thankful. I think I’ve got a lot to show especially my northern Irish pride!

Name: Crystal
Age: 34
Location: London
Greatest strengths: ‘Crystal’s greatest strengths are her creative mind. I love to approach a concept and come up with a look and story and figure a way to execute that on stage in an exciting way. I bring things on stage that people haven’t seen before.
‘A lot of people might think of drag as the lady in Blackpool, and I’m bringing much more of an East London fashion, creative element to it. Some might call it pretentious but I call it interesting.’
What does it mean to be in the competition?: ‘Being in Drag Race is insane; it’s such an opportunity to be in the first season of Drag Race UK. I feel such a responsibility to do a good job and show people what the UK drag scene has to offer. It’s just blowing my mind.’

Greatest strengths: ‘I am a lip sync assassin and I’d like to see any of these girls try and out lip sync me as this is what I do. I’m quite well known for my death drop and dancing skills so girl you better watch out as I’m gonna bring the exclamation mark of the dance moves to the dance floor!’
What does it mean to be in the competition?: ‘For me to make it on the first season means the absolutely world to me. I feel like I’ve put my stamp on the UK scene and I’m ready to show the word what I do in the UK.

What does it mean to be in the competition?: ‘I really liked the show and thought it might be fun to be on it, but I didn’t think I’d get on it.
‘When I got the call that I wasn’t expecting, I was in a lecture at uni and so my reaction had to be kind of gauged. I was in the hallway trying not to scream and cry at the same time out of happiness and fear.‘
