Staff and residents at Milford House Care Home are celebrating after being named finalists in two national award categories for the second year running.
The Salisbury care home is one of the UK’s largest care providers, has once again impressed at the National Activity Awards, run by the National Activity Providers Association (NAPA), for their talented staff and outstanding approach to providing activity provision, making them one of just three finalists in each category across the UK.
In the running for both Activity Team of the Year and Rising Star, senior general manager, Aga Musial, attributes activity team staff Gale Louw and Jane Durran’s ‘amazing’ and ‘dedicated’ work for propelling Milford House into the national spotlight.
She said: “Everyone at Milford House will be cheering on Team Milford come January.”
When the email confirming their nomination arrived, the excitement was hard to contain and the hospitality services manager, Scarlet Leatham said: “It was such a fabulous moment when the emails arrived announcing the finalists, but we had to keep the news under wraps as Jane was away on holiday and we couldn’t say anything until she returned which was so hard as we really wanted to share the good news.”
Dynamic duo, Gale and Jane, said: “We were both dumbstruck when we were told about being finalists, which doesn’t happen very often – but we are absolutely delighted, of course.”
