Kate taken aback by ‘personal’ question

Appearing on Jimmel Kimmel Live earlier this month, Rami Malek revealed how he first crossed paths with Kate Middleton at the 2019 BAFTAs and then again at the star-studded movie premiere not long after the birth of her third child.

Instead of just showing up to the awards ceremony and shaking a few hands, Rami recognised that both Prince William and Kate had “worked so hard” to familiarise themselves with all the actors’ work.

“I just looked at Princess Kate at one point and said, ‘This must be exhausting!'”

Understandably, Kate was puzzled by this and asked Rami what he meant.

The actor continued: “I said, ‘You just had a baby, right?’

“I think she was taken aback. She said, ‘How are you doing?’ and I said, ‘No, how are YOU?'”

In true royal fashion, Kate didn’t comment – but Rami says she gave him a look that suggested he was onto something.

The ‘dead fly test’

Appearing on the Channel 5 documentary Sandringham: Royals at Christmas, head of recruitment Tracey Waterman revealed how she weeds out the weaker housekeeping candidates.

She explained: “One of the tests I like to do, to see if a candidate has potential eye for detail, is to place a dead fly, either in the fireplace or on the carpet.

“Once the dead fly is placed, I then bring the candidate into the room.”

After allowing them to take a quick look around the room, Tracey then brings them over to admire the fireplace.

She added: “At this point I’d expect them to see the dead fly, and hopefully pick it up.

“It’s a great test, maybe out of 10 people half the candidates will notice the fly.

“One out of ten will actually bend down and pick it up, that’s the special housekeeper.

“The difference between a housekeeper in a five-star hotel and in a royal palace would be attention to detail.”

MEGHAN Markle was seen making visits to the estate of a beauty marketing firm executive in a hint she may be about to launch her own cosmetic line.

Meghan, 40, reportedly made visits to Guthy-Renker co-founder Bill Guthy’s home in Carpinteria, California, with husband Prince Harry, 37, and her mum Doria several times between February and March.

Harry and Meghan had also flown on a private jet owned by the cosmetics firm during a tour of New York City, the Daily Mail reported

There has since been speculation that Meghan could be about to launch her own cosmetics line – following in the footsteps of supermodel Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum.

The Sussexes were seen driving from Mr Guthy’s estate with Meghan beside him and her mum Doria Ragland in the backseat on March 1.

Prince Charles ‘will live in “flat above the shop” when he is king’

Prince Charles is set to “live in a ‘flat above the shop’” after Buckingham Palace is allegedly thrown open to the public when he is King.

In a bid to radically overhaul the Royal estate, the monarch will be left in less-than lavish living arrangements as the Palace is opened up to the public, it’s been suggested.

Prince Charles is also planning to move the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Windsor Castle, because its position in the Heathrow flight path makes it “too noisy” for him.

It will be a property move that the Cambridges are said to want, according to a friend of the royals.

And there are talks that Balmoral could turn into a “museum” dedicated to the Queen as part of the property reshuffle.

As well as slimming down the monarchy, the “property question” is also on the “to do list,” a source told the Mail on Sunday.

Meghan ‘upset and broken’ by Megxit

Journalist Omid Scobie – a friend of the couple – said Meghan had been left “upset and broken” by Megxit after “trying everything to make it work.”

Meghan and Harry have since signed a number of lucrative deals since quitting royal life with mega-bucks names including Netflix, Apple and Spotify.

Scobie, the preferred reporter of the Sussexes – who co-authored their biography Finding Freedom – confirmed the pair will return to public life after “keeping toxicity away”.

“They’re a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction. They need to be on the ground,” Scobie told PEOPLE.

Lawyers for Virginia Roberts Giuffre had agreed to hand over a copy of a “release” signed in 2009 – following her legal settlement with sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

US District Judge Loretta Preska has rubber-stamped the request.

Attorneys for Andrew, 61, hope the secret clause will show he is exempt from any culpability in her bombshell sex assault claims against him.

But Virginia’s lawyers have branded it “irrelevant”.

The secret agreement is said to not apply to the royal – instead releasing lawyers, employees, agents and heirs from liability in connection with the Epstein case.

PRINCE Andrew appeared to have the “time of his life” at a creepy dinner party hosted by Jeffrey Epstein, it was claimed yesterday.

The Duke was a guest at his paedo pal’s Manhattan mansion in 2010, with celebs including screen star Woody Allen.

One guest compared the setting to an erotic film.

The guest said: “Epstein came with some girls who were tall and skinny and Russian looking.

“They were about 20-ish. They looked like teens.

“There were about eight people sitting around the dinner table and they spoke to Andrew at length about the royal wedding, American politics, international politics.

Princely plans

Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed a £112m deal with the production company after quitting the Royal Family.

In the partnership with Netflix, the couple agreed to a multi-year deal to produce nature series, documentaries and children’s programming.

Such projects were sought, Prince Harry had claimed in their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview in March, as his family had cut him off financially at the start of 2020 after announcing their Megxit plans.

In April of this year, the couple revealed their first project for the streaming platform – an Invictus Games documentary.

Prince Harry, who will appear on camera and be an executive producer for the documentary, gushed over the series, saying he couldn’t wait for the series to reveal the “mosaic of resilience”. 

In July, it was claimed that Meghan had started working on a Netflix series with David Furnish two years before Megxit.

Royal courtiers ‘kept largely in dark’ on Andrew case updates – reports

Andrew’s personal finances are unclear but experts have pointed out that he has no regular source of income.

He leases his home, Royal Lodge on the Queen’s Windsor estate, and is expected to sell a Swiss ski chalet to repay a debt to its previous owner, who claims he and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson owe her £6.7 million.

The Queen’s contribution to Andrew’s defence reportedly means his UK-based legal team, led by Gary Bloxsome, are reportedly obliged to provide updates to Buckingham Palace about the case.

However, courtiers have been kept “largely in the dark”, according to The Telegraph.

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle quit the Royal Family last year, the couple swapped their newly-renovated Frogmore Cottage in Windsor in favour of a £11m California mansion.

But it turns out the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also turned their backs on another royal residence as part of the Megxit fallout.

According to the Mail on Sunday, Clarence House – which is the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s current London residence – had been reserved for Harry and Meghan when Charles becomes King.

Just a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, this stunning aristocratic townhouse was built in 1827 and is estimated to be worth over £55m.

As part of his preparations for when he becomes King, the publication reports that Prince Charles had reserved his home for Harry – but a source said this is “no longer on the cards”.

Instead, the insider claimed the property will be kept in waiting as a potential future home for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to live in one day.

SARAH Ferguson, The Duchess of York, has said that the Royal Family ‘moves together as a unit’ in light of Prince Andrew’s recent scandals.

She is the former wife of Prince Andrew and recently declared that she still stands by her wedding vows despite getting divorced back in 1996.

Speaking to Good Morning Britain, Sarah said of Her Majesty: “She’s such an extraordinary, legendary, iconic monarch that leads by example… at 95-years-old, still carries on.

“And, for me, we get on with it and we move together as a unit”.

According to royal biographer Robert Lacey, Prince Charles and Princess Diana faced this exact dilemma when their son Prince William was born in June 1982.

Writing for PEOPLE magazine, the author claims Charles preferred the name Arthur.

However, Diana allegedly wasn’t convinced.

The expert wrote: “Diana, Princess of Wales proposed a more robust name — William, as in ‘William the Conqueror,’ victor of the famed Battle of Hastings in 1066.”

As a result, the couple found a compromise.

Instead, they used Arthur as one of William’s middle names – along with Philip and Louis.

‘Creating a lasting legacy to the Queen’

The Queen’s Green Canopy (QGC) aims to “create a lasting legacy” to the Queen by urging people to start their own tree-planting projects across the UK with the call to action: “Plant a tree for the jubilee.”

The scheme encourages planting to take place between October and March, to optimise the chance of trees surviving and flourishing.

The children presented the queen with a hand-made card to mark the end of her traditional summer break at her beloved Scottish residence.

The monarch thanked them for the “very kind” gesture after being presented with the card by Annie Hutchin, aged “six and a half”, and Skye Jones, nine.

Harry ‘hypocritical’ for lecturing on climate change

Former government minister Norman Baker, 64, told Newsweek: “It’s completely hypocritical for Prince Harry or other members of the royal family to lecture people about climate change when they’re emitting more carbon than almost everyone else on the planet.

“People using private jets are in the top one percent of carbon emitters in the world.

“Prince Harry needs to stop using private jets or if he wants to use private jets he needs to stop lecturing people on climate change. It is not particularly challenging to get a flight from New York to California – people do it all the time.”

The couple have faced repeated criticism for insisting on using  private flights, despite preaching about the environment.

Baker said Harry and Meghan took 18 private jet trips in the 12 months from January 2019 to January 2020.
