Anyone looking to get some festive gifts can do so without having to shell out extra cost for parking in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire.
The town, celebrated for its range of independent traders is offering free parking at certain times and days in the lead up to Christmas.
Town Mayor Cllr Owen James urged shoppers to take advantage of not having to pay for the privilege of parking in the town during the festive season.
He said: “Llandeilo Town Council have allocated spare days of our yearly free parking allowance in December. We hope it will support our wonderful shops during the festive period.”
Cllr James said that, with Royal Mail admitting that this year deliveries before Christmas may suffer increased delays, shopping local for that last minute present will be all the more important.
Parking will be free this coming Saturday, December 19 and parking in Llandeilo is also free of charge in the town between 10am and 2pm Monday to Wednesday.
