Skims releases largest offering of shapewear since launch

Skims’ upcoming collection, set to drop on 27 April, marks its largest offering of innovative new shapewear styles since its launch in 2019.

The assortment features the all-new Everyday Sculpt Collection, a selection of lightweight, everyday undergarments. The collection has been updated with 11 new cuts, including evolutions to the viral Seamless Sculpt Bodysuit and other best-selling styles.

Skims, Co-founded by Kim Kardashian, continues to strategically tap into pop culture and cast viral talent to reinforce the brand’s modernisation of the shapewear category.

Staying on-brand, the campaign features a lineup of breakthrough female artists including Ice Spice, Nessa Barrett, PinkPantheress, and RAYE. With a collective of over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, the viral stars have been named as the faces of the female-owned brand’s shapewear campaign.

Kim Kardashian, Co-founder of Skims, commented: “I’m excited to launch this next generation of Skims shapewear with a campaign that celebrates these incredible musical artists. Ice Spice, Nessa Barrett, Pinkpantheress, and RAYE are super talented women and truly reflect our Skims community.”

The star-studded campaign, which will debut across social media, was shot and directed by photographer and artist Vanessa Beecroft.

American rapper Ice Spice and British vocalist PinkPantheress’ smash hit ‘Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2,’ reached No. 1 on Billboards’ chart. Following her breakthrough on TikTok, major music star Nessa Barrett is currently on a worldwide tour, and British singer-songwriter RAYE has garnered a global following with her single ‘Escapism.’

RAYE added: “Skims has changed the game when it comes to inclusivity and representation, and I’m honoured to be a part of its community of confident women. This shapewear does exactly what it’s meant to!”

The solutions-orientated brand Skims previously enlisted Grammy-award winning artist SZA as the face of its previous campaign.
