Snowmail: councils to run post offices? (Channel 4)

A local authority looks like becoming the unlikely saviour of post offices that have been closed by Royal Mail to save money. Essex County Council is in talks with Royal Mail to buy 15 branches – and the government has given its approval to the scheme.
