A new owner has snapped up Stoke-on-Trent’s biggest shopping centre. Belgate Estates is the new owner of The Potteries Centre.
The Potteries Centre is today continuing to remain tight-lipped over the sale. It comes as centre director Amy Whittaker has today left her position and the Ice Palace Santa’s grotto has been closed down just days before Christmas.
But Stoke-on-Trent City Council – which operates Hanley Market inside the centre – has confirmed the sale.
A council spokesman said: “We have been made aware of the recent transfer of ownership of The Potteries Centre and we are actively engaged with the new owner, Belgate Estates, to ensure a seamless transition for our customers and traders within Hanley Indoor Market.”
