According to one estimate 16 million people across the UK suffered from late letters and parcels this Christmas with rural areas particularly badly hit.
In Tenbury Wells a thread about late deliveries heard from Louisa Davies who said she posted out orders second class and they were taking two to three weeks to arrive.

Royal Mail says it aims to deliver to all addresses they have mail for, six days a week. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors.
The company said: “In those cases, we will rotate deliveries to minimise the delay to individual customers.”
