SOUTH WOODFORD: Neglected postbox causes a storm (Wanstead and Woodford Guardian)

A WAR-HERO who worked for Royal Mail for more than three decades has hit out over the sorry state of his local postbox. Harry Franklin, 85, of Grovesnor Lodge in South Woodford, fought the Nazis in Africa, Italy and Sicily before returning to London and starting work for the Post Office in 1947.
