Special Forces soldiers warned to stop drinking ‘unsafe’ breast milk sold online

Exclusive:

Experts warn of risks of Special Forces drinking human milk bought on eBay to help them keep fit, get big muscles and avoid injury after commando gets hepatitis

Some elite soldiers have been using breast milk to get in peak fitness

Members of the Special Forces are famed for their strength and military skill but the secret to their success is… breast milk.

Crackshots have been ordering the milk online to use as a fitness supplement.

But commandos have recently been warned off it after one recruit contracted hepatitis from milk sold on eBay. Sources say the 31-year-old commando had been taking the milk for several months before he fell ill.

A source told the Sunday People : “Obviously, fitness is a big deal in the Special Forces. The guys use a lot of legal and safe supplements to help them build muscle, stay fit and avoid injury.

“But every so often a new craze comes along and people get a bit carried away. It seems that is what happened in this case.”

Breast milk is hugely popular with bodybuilders, who believe it can help to promote muscle growth. But experts warn that the milk can contain harmful bacteria, drugs and viruses such as HIV, and can easily be diluted with other liquids.

Dr Sarah Steele, a public health researcher at the University of Cambridge, said: “We need to remember it’s body fluid. It’s very unsafe.

“You have no idea who or what is at the other end of the transaction. Most of all, shipping via Royal Mail is not temperature-controlled and that’s when bacteria multiply.”

One eBay seller is currently advertising breast milk for £6 per 6oz pouch.

The description says: “Gave birth on the 15/02/2022 to a healthy baby boy weighing 7.4. I don’t smoke or drink, up to date with all vaccines (Covid 2 jabs).”
