Calgary Stampeders veteran Markus Howell announced his retirement Monday. The 35-year-old from Winnipeg played receiver, returner and defensive back over his 10 seasons with Calgary, Ottawa and his hometown Bombers. He won a Grey Cup with Calgary in 2008.
