Thefts of post boxes have been reported in eight places in Cambridgeshire. Cambridgeshire Police had asked members of the public to contact them with any information.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said thefts have been reported in Ramsey, Huntingdon, Old Hurst, Wistow, Ely, Aldreth, Wilburton, and Haddenham. They said: “We’re asking members of the public to be alert to any suspicious activity around post boxes and to contact us with information.”
A spokesperson for Royal Mail Group said: “We can confirm there have been a number of post-box thefts. These have been reported to the police.”

Royal Mail has advised anyone impacted by the theft to visit the Royal Mail website. A spokesperson said: “A collection can be arranged, or mail can be dropped off at a delivery office or Post Office.”
A police spokesperson said: “If you see a crime taking place, call 999. To report any suspicious activity, contact us online.”
