New parcel postboxes unveiled across Harrogate and Skipton
- People living in Harrogate, Ripon, Skipton, Ilkley, Otley and Settle can skip to the front of the queue by sending pre-paid packages at their nearest postbox.
- The Royal Mail have introduced 128 of the new style postboxes across Yorkshire to give customers and businesses more flexibility.
- Those in Otley, llkley, Harrogate, Ripon, Skipton and Settle can now post packages in the same way they send a letter.
Skipton and Harrogate now have parcel postboxes which allow people to send back pre-paid parcels at the same place they post letters.
Royal Mail has launched 1,400 of the new wider and more secure design across the country – after a successful run of the boxes last year.
The move is intended to make life easier for small businesses and marketplace sellers who would now have access to sending back parcels any time of day, seven days a week.
Royal Mail has unveiled 128 of the new design across Yorkshire and it marks the first major change to the purpose of postboxes in the last 160 years.
