Street behind Hull Royal Infirmary blocked by crash

A Hull road had to be closed close to Hull Royal Infirmary after crash involving a cyclist.

Argyle Street, alongside the hospital, had been blocked by police according to reports from drivers using surrounding routes tonight.

Humberside Police officers and paramedics were reported to be at the scene – something confirmed by the force a short time later.

“There has been an accident between a car and a cyclist at the back of Hull Royal. Just up near the bridge. Police and ambulance are there,” one witness said.

Another said the road near the hospital is “all blocked off”
