Support the eCourier strikes | Workers’ Liberty

On 14 and 15 November, workers at eCourier will be striking over employment classification and pay, and to oppose bullying and harassment.

In 2017 the courts found that eCourier, owned by Royal Mail, was breaking the law by classifying its couriers as independent contractors rather than workers. The company promised to investigate and rectify the issue. However, eCourier has so far sat on its hands. When workers and union activists have raised the issue, they have been met with intimidation and harassment.

As with other sections of the so-called gig economy, the majority of the workforce are migrant workers. The striking couriers are members of the IWGB union. Please donate to their strike fund here, pass a motion in support at your union or Labour Party branch, and join the picket line on the day.
