Suspect appears in court charged with rape of teenage boy in Paisley

A suspect has appeared in court charged with the rape of a teenage boy in a lane in Paisley town centre.

At around 8.15pm on Tuesday, the teen was attacked in Meetinghouse Lane near Gilmour Street.

Declyn Haggerty has appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court charged with one count of rape.

The 29-year-old made no plea.

The Paisley man has been remanded in custody and will appear in court again within the next eight days.
