A SUSPICIOUS package has seen staff evacuated from a Royal Mail sorting office in Edinburgh – with bomb squad cops called to the scene.
The alarm was raised around 10.25am this morning after the discovery at the facility on Ciltins Road in the capital.

Cops say that the building has been partly evacuated.
But there isn’t believed to be a wider threat to the community.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 10.25am on Saturday, 14 November, to a report of a suspicious package at a sorting office in Cultins Road, Edinburgh.
“Officers are in attendance along with colleagues from SFRS and supported by the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal).
“The building has been partly evacuated as a precaution but there is currently not thought to be a threat to the wider community.”
