Sussexes’ biographer Omid Scobie sets his sights on William as he dedicates a whole chapter to the Prince of Wales in new book ‘Endgame’ about the royal family’s ‘fight for survival’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s biographer Omid Scobie yesterday revealed he has set his sights on Prince William in his upcoming book, as the work on the Royal Family’s fight for survival is set to be released.

His new book ‘Endgame’ will feature a chapter called ‘Gloves On: Prince William, Heir to the Throne’ as he confirmed it was at the printers.

The highly anticipated book by Mr Scobie, who is close to the Sussexes and has long been seen as their preferred royal reporter, will be released on November 21.

The presence of an entire chapter on the Prince of Wales is likely to cause concern at the Palace, given Mr Scobie’s outspoken support of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the past.

On Wednesday he gave his 127,000 X followers a ‘little sneak peak’ at the titles of the first nine chapters, including one called: ‘Baggage: The Lingering Trials of King Charles’, and another: ‘Gloves Off: Prince Harry, Man on a Mission’.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ staff are likely to be worried the chapter will not be favourable to the Prince, and will instead repeat some of the allegations made in Harry’s book Spare.

This could include an alleged physical altercation in which Prince William is said to have pushed Harry into a dog bowl at Frogmore cottage.

Omid Scobie reveals titles of first nine chapters in Endgame

These are the titles of the first nine chapters in Endgame, as revealed by Omid Scobie on X today:

  1. ‘The Queen and Her Piper: Elizabeth II’s Final Days’
  2. ‘Shaky Ground: The Queen is Dead, the Monarchy Faces Trouble’
  3. ”Oh God, I Hate This’: King Charles’s Premiere’
  4. ‘Remembrance of Things Past: The Ongoing Campaign to Make the Royals Great Again’
  5. ‘Baggage: The Lingering Trials of King Charles’
  6. ‘The Fall of Prince Andrew: Scandal, Shame and Silencing Jane Doe’
  7. ‘Race and the Royals: Institutional Bigotry and Denial’
  8. ‘Gloves On: Prince William, Heir to the Throne’
  9. ‘Gloves Off: Prince Harry, Man on a Mission’

The Duke also wrote that his brother, with whom he has not spoken for months, called his wife ‘difficult’, ‘rude’ and ‘abrasive’.

Other chapters in the book include one entitled ‘Shaky Ground: The Queen is Dead, the Monarchy Faces Trouble’ and a further one called ‘Race and the Royals: Institutional Bigotry and Denial’.

There is also a chapter labelled ”Oh God, I Hate This’: King Charles’s Premiere’ – a reference to a comment made by Charles about a pen that leaked while he was signing a visitor’s book in Belfast four days after Queen Elizabeth II died.

The author also revealed there is a chapter called: ‘The Fall of Prince Andrew: Scandal, Shame and Silencing Jane Doe’.

In a message posted on X, Mr Scobie said: ‘Just been told that #ENDGAME is officially at the printers! A little sneak peek for you all.’

An X user then asked him: ‘You have an audio version?’ And Mr Scobie replied: ‘Yup! Out the same day as the book.’

Previously, Mr Scobie revealed to MailOnline in June that his book had been delayed for three months from August to November so he could write new chapters on the Coronation.

This is expected to include details about Harry’s solo flying visit to the UK to see his father crowned King at Westminster Abbey, while his wife Meghan Markle stayed at home in Montecito, California, with their children Archie and Lilibet.

Mr Scobie told MailOnline at the time: ‘The release is globally, including UK, on November 21. I wanted to continue writing through and beyond the Coronation. That wasn’t the original plan.’

Endgame has been described in its blurb as being a book that ‘pulls back the curtain on the Palace, exposing the chaos, dysfunction, and distrust amongst the British royal family, and what needs to happen to preserve a monarchy in crisis’.

Mr Scobie previously said the book lifts the lid on ‘moments the royal family should be ashamed of.’

The description adds: ‘On September 8, 2022, the world stood still as news broke of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Her death dismantled the protective shield around the world’s most famous family and saw a long-simmering crisis of confidence in the British monarchy begin to resurface.

‘Now, with unique insight, deep access, and exclusive revelations, journalist Omid Scobie pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil – exposing the infighting, family deterioration, and outdated practices threatening its very future.

Mr Scobie co-authored the 2020 Sunday Times bestselling book Finding Freedom about Harry and Meghan stepping down as senior royals, and the journalist is thought to be close to the Sussexes.

In 2021 Meghan apologised in the High Court for failing to remember authorising a senior aide to brief Mr Scobie and co-author Carolyn Durand for the unofficial biography, which was described in the Endgame blurb as an ‘international blockbuster’.

And at the High Court in June, Harry said that he knew Mr Scobie, before correcting himself and saying: ‘I know of him’.

Mr Scobie announced his second book last year, saying Endgame would ‘pull back the curtain on an institution in turmoil – exposing the chaos, family dysfunction, distrust and draconian practices threatening its very future’.

He has also promised the book will be full of ‘unique insight, deep access and exclusive revelations’.

Moving the publishing date gave the author a chance to include inside material through and beyond the Coronation.

Harry notably was sat in the third row of the ceremony at Westminster Abbey and played no formal role in the proceedings, jetting off after about 24 hours in the UK.

Mr Scobie’s latest announcement today comes after Meghan was photographed at a Beyoncé concert in Los Angeles on Monday night with actress Kerry Washington and singer Kelly Rowland as her relaunch continues.

On Sunday night, Harry was seeing sitting in a box at the Los Angeles FC stadium next to the couple’s Hollywood venture capitalist friend Adam Lilling who is thought to be helping the Sussexes with their big rebrand.

Tomorrow, Harry is due to make a rare trip back to the UK to attend the annual WellChild Awards in London , a charity of which he remains patron.

There are no plans for him to meet his father or brother Prince William, who will be working despite Friday marking the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

Harry will also then attend the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf from Saturday, with Meghan expected to fly in from California to join him during the competition.

Meanwhile Meghan is reportedly getting ready to ‘re-launch’ herself on Instagram and experts predict she could make $1million per post.
