The Swedish royals put on an elegant display as they attended a formal engagement just days before Christmas.
Crown Princess Victoria joined her parents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia at the Swedish Academy’s Annual Grand Ceremony held at the Old Stock Exchange building in Stockholm.
The mother-of-two, 44, stunned in a floor-length green gown teamed with black heels and a fur jacket, while opting to wear her glossy brunette hair into her signature low bun style.
She completed the look by choosing to accentuate her natural features with subtle pink blusher on her cheeks and a nude lipstick.

The royal beamed alongside her parents as Queen Silvia, who is the longest serving queen of Sweden, led the way in a fur-trimmed shawl and matching black dress.
King Carl Gustaf looked equally polished as he coordinated with his wife in a black suit paired with a white shirt and bow tie.
Despite the season’s predictably cold weather, he appeared in good spirits and without the need for a coat.
Each member of the Swedish royals completed their look by donning a sash, star of the Order of the Seraphim and the family order of King Carl Gustaf.

The family traditionally comes together to attend the annual event in the run-up to Christmas each year.
The Swedish Academy was originally founded in 1786 by King Gustav III. Its purpose is to work upon purity, strength and sublimity of the Swedish language.
The Academy annually appoints the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including deciding who will be the laureate for the Nobel Prize in Literature.
Among this year’s recipients are Ingvar Björkeson who received the Royal Prize for the year 2021, Lotta Lotass who received the Gerard Bonnier’s prize for the year 2020 and Suzanne Osten who was given the Kellgren Prize for the year 2021.

Although the Swedish royals are preparing for festive celebrations, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia still have a busy agenda in the days leading up to Christmas.
The pair are set to attend Drottningholms Slottsteaters concert at Drottningholm’s castle church on the 23rd, the same day Queen Silvia will celebrate her 78th birthday.
Meanwhile, it’s unlikely we will see Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel stepping out again before the holidays.
Much like the Queen’s Christmas Day speech, the Swedish royal family release a Christmas message a few days ahead of the big day where they reflect on the year that’s gone and the one ahead.
