TAKE A BREATH: New trees planted by Amersham Town Council to ‘improve air quality and support biodiversity’

Amersham Town Council has announced the planting of a row of trees and plants outside the Royal Mail Sorting Office.

On Facebook, they wrote: “In addition to the four ornamental pears planted last week, we’ve added a beautiful mix of shrubs, grasses, and perennials. This bio-strip was carefully designed to enhance the streetscape, support local biodiversity, and improve air quality.

“A huge thank you to the Amersham Action Group and Savills Amersham for partnering with the town council and generously funding this project. Thanks also to Buckinghamshire Council for allowing the town council to create the bio-strip in this space.”
