Inspiration Point

Take an inspirational walk down to Inspiration Point. The cliffs of Newport Beach above the ocean are a view you deserve after your hike. Bring some snacks and sit near the cliffs to see the Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see. Or hike to the bottom of the cliffs and walk along the rocks as the waves splash. Dogs and kids are allowed on this great hike for beginners.
Crystal Cove State Park

Crystal Cove State Park is one of Orange County’s favorite hikes along the beach. You can begin your walk in the hills where you can see the ocean from the very top. Then choose if you want to take a long or short trail to the beach. Walk into the tunnel that takes you underneath Pacific Coast Highway to a beautiful Southern California beach city. Pack lunch and eat on the sand to see the cliffs that make the local area so outstanding.
Abalone Cove Shoreline Park

Los Angeles is known for many of its beaches, but one with a fantastic view and multiple hiking trails is the Abalone Cove, Shoreline Park. The Altamira Canyon paths take you through the hills and valleys of trees down to the beach. It’s great for a family hike, and you can always bring pets to accompany you to the famous trail that ends with a cave.

This group of hiking trails, located north of Santa Monica, is a nice break away from Southern California cities. It’s just far enough away from Los Angeles to get away from all the city noise, but close enough to come back before dinner.
